Inspiration
Aristotle's Eudaemonia.
When coming up with a name for the wellness boxes, we wanted something different, something that hadn’t already been overused. We stumbled through dictionaries and found the Aristotelian term “Eudaemonia”. There are many theories about what Aristotle meant by eudaemonia; some simply translate it to happiness, others go into great detail, defining eudaemonia not as a single emotion but rather as a state of being, toward the best possible version of yourself.
Living a life full of virtue and ultimately flourishing.

Eudaemonia moth.
Discovering our logo was the ultimate happy accident. It turns out there is a scientific genus of moths, with long ‘tails’ or hindwings, called Eudaemonia. For us, moths represent so much of what our business is all about. The moth symbolizes shadow work, inner wisdom, and transformation – it explores the darkness but is also drawn to the light.

Pandora's box.
Many people know the Greek myth of Pandora’s Box. Pandora is given a box from Zeus, which she’s instructed never to open. Still, being naturally curious, she ends up opening the box. When she lifts the lid off the box, famine, disease, destruction and other evils emerge. What many people don’t know is that at the bottom of the box, there was hope. We appreciated the correlation of opening a box, being confronted by difficult things, and working through those challenges to achieve hope.
